Less than a mile from John Lennon Airport, this family-run guest house is a 20-minute drive from Liverpool city centre. Gateway Lodge offers free parking and cosy rooms with free Wi-Fi. The location was very good. Just right to reach the airport (10-15 min of walking). I did not have breakfast but there were tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Aaron in Southport features accommodation with free WiFi, 1.3 km from Southport Beach, 25 km from Aintree Racecourse and 31 km from Anfield Stadium. Look forward to returning to the Aaron. Wonderful place managed by the brilliant Bev.

The Bowden Lodge is located in Southport, 1.5 km from Southport Beach, 26 km from Aintree Racecourse, and 32 km from Anfield Stadium. Great location on a lovely tree lined road a short walk from the town centre. Our hosts were very welcoming and did everything they could to make us feel at home. The room was lovely, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, great attention to detail and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was very good including a vegetarian option which we both appreciated and enjoyed very much, good hot coffee too!

Featuring 4-star accommodation, The Stamford is situated in Southport, 1.6 km from Southport Beach and 25 km from Aintree Racecourse. Our family of six enjoyed the facility, its location, and our interactions with the owner...very friendly and helpful.

The Adelphi Guest House offers well-appointed accommodation on England’s north-west coast, just 2 minutes’ walk from Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. Caroline is an amazing host. Friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat. Would strongly recommend this place if you're staying in Southport.

The Ambassador Townhouse is set in the centre of Southport, and only 10 minutes' walk from Southport Rail Station. Can't wish anything better in terms of location. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Warm welcome on arrival from host Tony and throughout our stay made us feel like visiting good old friend. Breakfast was exceptional with options to chose for each day and prepared to the high standard.

The Norwood Guest House is situated just 10 minutes’ walk from the Grade II listed Southport Pier and Southport beach. We absolutely loved our stay at The Norwood. Valentina and Richard were so welcoming and helpful. The room was so comfortable and spotless. It is a short walk to lots of pubs and restaurants. We had fabulous meals in restaurants recommended by Richard and have lots of tips for our next trip. We would recommend The Norwood to anyone and will certainly be going back.

Located in the heart of Southport, The Leicester offers 4-star, Silver Award accommodation in a traditional Victorian building. The room was very tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast was lovely and the host was very attentive. The room had good tea and coffee facilities, bed was comfortable, free wifi too. Shower was ok and the bathroom was clean. Free parking outside too. Would happily stay here again.

The Breeze Guest House in Bootle is just 2 miles from Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club. It offers traditional English food, individually designed rooms and free parking. The owner was friendly and nice.

A friendly, family-run guest house located a short walk from Southport's famous Lord Street and Theatre. Free WiFi is provided and limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served... Gary and Shirley were wonderful hosts. Both are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and freshly sourced and prepared. The room was perfect for a solo traveler. Le Maitre is very conveniently located a couple minutes walk from shops and restaurants. I highly recommended Gary and Shirley's place for an excellent value and clean place to stay.
