Amazing and relaxing location away from the hustle and bustle. Accompanied by bell ringing one evening from the church, which sounded amazing, wonderful bird song, lovely waking up to Siskins and Coal tits calling from the trees in the veg garden. The accommodation was top draw, lovely and warm and a well designed space with everything you could need. The owner Chris greeted me at the gate and was friendly and contactable if I needed anything. Ideally located for exploring the Forest of Dean.

The cottage was really well equipped and very cosy and comfortable. There was a lovely plate of freshly baked scones with jam and cream to welcome us. Also, the owners had provided all those little extras that it's so easy to forget. Everything was lovely and clean and in good order, and the beds were very comfy. The village of St Briavels was lovely, with a friendly pub, which was 5 minutes walk from the cottage. We were able to do some great walking from the cottage door, and didn't need to use our cars all weekend. We would very happily stay here again next time we find ourselves in this beautiful part of the country.

Beautiful and peaceful view over the valley. Nice accessible touches, like grabrails and parking / accommodation / deck all on one level. Nice touches, like USB sockets all around. Solar panels / EV charging / air source heat pump show sustainable credentials.

The cottage is spacious, comfy and well equipped in a beautiful and peaceful location. Spotlessly clean! Bed very comfy too. Lovely view from the kitchen window and a garden (although the weather wasn't good enough to take advantage of this). A short drive from the local towns and beauty spots.

(Written on behalf of my wife) The location and the quiet atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The entire weekend was an excellent get away! Would highly recommend this place for anyone wishing to get away from it all!

Nice old cottage, comfortable with everything you need. Lovely owners are very helpful and provided a nice stack of welcome goodies. Good location in the village within walking distance of everything. Plenty of good walks and pubs nearby.
