    Beautiful village picture postcard scenery.

Beautiful village picture postcard scenery. Pub meal was excellent but closed first two days Monday and Tuesday so had to find another for evening meals I.e Pickering and Lastington. Village is easily to find and the area is a touch of tranquility. If we go again we would take our own breakfast as that was the letdown.

Hutton Le Hole is a really pretty small village, easy to find, it`s very quiet, but still has a good selection of places to eat and drink with a nice Pub and Tea Rooms to tempt you. You are within a small drive of Pickering and Malton which we would also recommend and it is perfect to use as a base for exploring the North York Moor National Park area.

The barn guesthouse and tea rooms are situated in a lovely part of the country in easy access to the moors and coast. The accommodation is great everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. A lovely breakfast each morning of juice, fresh fruit salad and selection of yogurts and cereals followed by a fully cooked breakfast and toast with jams. Caroline and Gareth are great hosts very helpful and informative. Many thanks folks for a great stay. Will definitely be recommending you to family and friends.

I was here end Nov/beginning Dec so about as low season as it gets. I arrived just after the storm of 2021 so what would always be an achingly pretty village was blanketed in snow making it even more picturesque. It wouldn't be fair of me to be critical of what was and wasn't open at this time of year, especially after Covid and the challenges hospitality is facing finding staff. There's plenty to do here - I'm coming back in May, staying in the same room - so I can walk the area and really enjoy the countryside. My last evening I walked back to Burnley House from The Crown. The air was cold and the Milky Way magnificent. All I could hear was the occasional call of a bird in the woods and the water in the Beck. It was magical!
