Orchard House Garden Studio re-opened in September 2022 after a period of closure while building work was done to the main house/garden. Also the studio has recently been upgraded with stylish new furniture in the distinct sitting and sleeping areas. So if you have stayed with us before, check out the new photos! The studio consists of comfortable sitting/dining/sleeping areas, shower-room and kitchenette, plus private entrance, parking space and patio with table/chairs and views of the garden and beyond. A small welcome pack is provided. The Studio is an L-shaped room providing the well-defined sitting, sleeping and eating areas, with a separate shower room off the bedroom area and a kitchenette off the dining area.

Carolyn, Tim and Sophie moved to Orchard House in 2019, but the Garden Studio has been available to holiday visitors for some years previously. We are determined to maintain high standards like the previous owners, so if you stayed with them we know you will enjoy a stay with us just as much!

Located in rural Wiveliscombe, 9 miles from Taunton, 24 miles from Exeter and 50 miles from Bristol. Ideal for touring, walking or visiting friends around the Brendons, Quantocks, Exmoor and south west England. Wiveliscombe is usually abbreviated to "Wivey" locally and it is always called a town and never a village! It is a friendly place with c. 2,500 people 10 minutes' walk (partly uphill) from the studio, with a good variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and things to see. Beautiful countryside on the edge of Exmoor with many more lovely villages and pubs. 40 mins drive from the coast or Oake Manor golf course 10 mins. Local breweries situated in the town with beer available nearby on draught and by bottle in shops. A wide variety of leisure and sporting activities from riding/shooting to arts and crafts. If you are looking for ideas about how to explore the area during your visit, a selection of local leaflets, guides etc is available in the studio (subject to Pandemic restrictions). A wider range of guides and advice is available in the Community Office in The Square, Wiveliscombe. There are two free car-parks in the town, and convenient on-street parking (30 mins maximum!).
