Seahouses is a lovely place something for everyone. I especially enjoy the harbour and the boat trips. Love neptunes fish and chips . Gone to the farms island gift shop for many years it’s an Aladdin’s cave.

The last stop on our 3 day walk of the Northumberland Coastal Path. We stayed in The Olde Ship Inn for one night - quirky but pleasant, helpful staff and good food, evening meal and breakfast. 7 mile round trip walk to Bamburgh Castle along the beach and back along the road was well worth it, interesting castle - good scones and coffee! Superb meal at The Bamburgh Castle Inn overlooking the harbour, I think they serve food all day.

Seahouses is a small village on the Northumbria coast.

Seahouses is a small village on the Northumbria coast. About 15 minutes from the A1. Island boat trips can be purchased and good coastal walks are available. There are some facilities aimed at children, which were all closed in November when I visited, so this is really a place for adults to relax. A National Trust shop is open each day. There is a caravan park unobtrusively located.

Seahouses is a great place to visit with wonderful walks and great restaurants. There are stunning views and a wonderful, working, fishing harbour. It is an iconic Northumbrian location with a magnificent history and plenty of things to do, even on a rainy Summers day. It has a number of small, quirky shops and plenty of food outlets to suit every taste.

If you're looking for all mod cons this may not be for you. Traditional old style hotel- comfortable room and immaculately clean. Bathroom again a bit dated but decent shower and everything worked well. We had a four poster bed which was really high so if you have any mobility issues it would be worth requesting another room. Great bar in the hotel - quirky and good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful and Seahouses was a lovely, friendly town - we enjoyed a really nice relaxing stay.

The breakfast was outstanding, lots of great options for all tastes and filling for all kinds of needs. The staff was outstanding, very helpful. The hotel has a nice comfortable area to relax at the end of the day. The bar was not open at the time, but I believe it was opened later that week. The hotel was well representated by the pictures posted. It is located walking distance from downtown and 3 miles away from Bamburgh's Castle, which made a very pleasant hike.

Pretty well everything was good - good food (2 breakfasts & 1 dinner) & not too expensive, comfortable rooms, *very* friendly & helpful staff. There's even lovely flowers around the beer garden & the car park! We only ended up at Longstone House Hotel because another hotel messed up our bookings but we were happy they did - when we got to Seahouses we realised our first choice would probably have been *very* noisy (LHH was lovely & quiet).

Absolute great Hotel !! The staff were lovely and welcoming. The lounge and bar area had spectacular views whilst we sat chilling after a full day of sightseeing and our bedroom was fab, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Also the shower was great too. The breakfast was yummy, lots of choices, I opted for the full Northumberland brekkie each morning and it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.

A very comfortable cottage with plenty of room and well-equipped. It has a lovely garden and table and chairs outside. We found it very clean and well-decorated. Very easy to walk down into Seahouses village (about 10 mins) which has lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Ship Inn was great as were the fish and chip restaurants. We hope to be back soon!

Ideally placed to explore the Northumberland coast- the beach at Seahouses, and the gem that is Embleton Bay. Dog friendly - need we say more ? Fantastic friendly service from Joan and the team at the Olde School House, the rooms are kept to a very high standard and, yes, the breakfast is exceptional!
