We had a great meal and hearty breakfast. All staff were excellent. It was easy to fi nd and so convenient to Whipsnade attractions.

This family-run pub and inn is situated in Bedford city centre, within 5 minutes’ walk of the picturesque embankment and the cultural Castle Quarter. This is an old historic hotel over a historic bar. It is close to restaurants and stores, with reasonable walking distance to both the bus station and train station. The room was small but comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall. They were clean.

Set in the Bedfordshire countryside, the Airman Hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Hitchin and the A1(M) motorway. The restaurant and bar feature fresh-cooked food, beamed ceilings and a log fire. It’s our second time staying there and we had a awesome time
