Tintagel is a lovely village it has some real quaint shops and the castle beach is well worth a visit although found the entry fee to the castle a bit steep so we didn’t do that the tide was out for a visit to Merlin’s cave but be prepared for steep steps 😂 the pasty shop was lovely too and all the tea shops etc looked amazing happy travels 🥰🥰

I am trying to review Fisherman’s cottage-which was great except that it didn’t state anywhere in it that it was a studio flat. It said it had one bedroom but there is no door to separate it from the rest of the cottage so u are essentially sleeping in the same room as a fridge & freezer gurgling all night -and if u have a dog u have to sleep in the same room as it unless u shut it in the bathroom. I just thought that it was important to make this point somewhere as nowhere seemed to let me review the cottage properly- just gave me a set of tick box questions. As I said it is a lovely cottage unless u mind sleeping with ur dog and a fridge and freezer in the same room-which I did! As for Tintagel-been coming here for years and is as lovely as ever!
The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. the bathroom was pleasant and clean with the appropriate toiletries.
The hotel is well placed for sightseeing in Tintagel. It is next door to the ticket office for Tintagel castle and well placed for the shops etc in the town. There is ample private car-parking, albeit on a steeply sloping site (we unloaded at the top of the hill and then took the car down in to the car-park. Breakfast was good and plentiful and other food in the pub was well priced and reasonable.
Dolphins is in a great location with loads to do in Tintagel as well as having easy access to go else where in Cornwall. All the staff there are fabulous - John the owner is a really genuine guy and a great man to talk to. He’s given me lots of recommendations to see different places and where to go around locally. Leah, Adam, Rosie and Mollie are all super friendly and couldn’t be anymore helpful - they showed me around the area and we did a trip to the sunset at the bottom of Tintagel for some great photos!
The location is just wonderful spectacular views and walks, unrivalled great sunset viewing point, easy access parking easy. The staff were great friendly and helpful. The hotel art connection is unusual and the background as a mediation organisation different. We were visited at dinner table by the resident artist and business partner again all very different. The tearoom and bar are very comfortable great atmosphere well worth a visit as a non resident. Wi if good.
Downside? The stay was too short.
Everything was perfect, from pre check-in communication. I asked if I could store my luggage before check-in and Andra and Marcus offered me an early check in with room upgrade!
The room was very clean, nice and cosy, with an amazing countryside view. Breakfast was great as well!
I also loved the location, 5 minute walk from the town centre and from the entrance to Tintagel Castle. I will book again next time I'm in Cornwall.
This house was amazing! Very spacious, very clean with all the facilities you need for a break away. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so spent a lot of time at the beach, the outside tap was very handy for rinsing sandy wetsuits! Very comfy beds, great shower and freestanding bath and a GORGEOUS kitchen/diner area. Location is perfect, right in Tintagel town but not at all noisy or busy- would 100% stay here again for a break in North Cornwall.
Our room was in the annex of the building, a large room with excellent facilities. Comfortable bed, large shower with toiletries provided. Room had good heating. Breakfast was included in our price and served in the hotel, with a choice of continental and cooked option. Free car parking provided in local car park, with guest parking ticket. Easy walking to Tintagel castle.
Clare and Phil were great hosts and provided a comfortable bed, great views to the sea and the countryside, and a terrific breakfast, all at a very good price. It's also a convenient location with short walks to restaurants and Tintagel Castle. An all-around great place to stay.
Room was a good size and very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Location was great. Plenty of parking. Right on the high street of Tintagel and great access to the castle.
Warm welcome from the owner in a good position close to Tintagel castle. We were told about a lovely walk to the Church which had great views of the Castle. Tv was not working when we arrived but the staff soon sorted the issue.
Large parking space.
Dinner and Breakfast at the hotel were wonderful.
A few minutes walk to the entrance of Tintagel Castle.
The town was quiet in the evening but very lively during the day when all the shops are open.
Loved the views of Tintagel Castle from our window. Only a short walk into the village. Amazing shower probably the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. Amazing views of the sunset each night. Bar staff were friendly.
Fantastic location, beautiful property, right in the centre of Tintagel. Close to a lot of areas of Cornwall. Nice walks along the coast and of course the falls and the castle all within half hours walk.
It is small hotel with very friendly hosts, delicious fresh breakfast, nice equipment for a short stay. Easy access to Tintagel Castle (run by
English Heritage) and beautiful nature area nearby
The huge breakfast, hotel location with amazing views in every direction, convenient for 95 bus stop and coastal path to walk to Tintagel Castle, the solid old Hotel building was warm throughout.
Great location- only a 10 min walk to the castle. Lots of nice pubs and shops along the way. Very clean and spacious room, and quiet location. Easy and free parking. The breakfast was delicious!
Centrally located in Tintagel. A very nice stay with a lovely cooked breakfast. Clean room with double aspect windows (room 1) overlooking the high street plus a very comfortable bed.
free parking on site was good. the location to the castle was great. right in the middle of town. the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent
