Dinner and cooked breakfast was fabulous! Comfy large bed and spacious room, though fairly basic for the price. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I used to live here so only visiting family, unless you are here for the railway heritage there is not a lot to see in the town, but it is like most towns that we visit empty shops a sense of depreciation everywhere.

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future.
Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration)
My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money.
We are back in January!
I've stayed here several times it worked out cheaper than the nearest Premier Inn so it was no contest Its a lovely hotel just outside of Darlington. Staff at check in check out very friendly and helpful The standard rooms have everything you need and the whole place is clean and tidy. You can upgrade to go into the old Castle rooms which are bigger than the wing. The parking is free and there is plenty of it. Breakfast is cooked as you like it and there is a good selection of Continental choices too.
The hotel is centrally located in Darlington and has covered parking, it is modern, clean and uses the facade of the old Kings Hotel, with a new entrance on Priestgate.
We had dinner the first night in the hotel restaurant where the menu while not exhaustive should provide something for everyone, the food was tasty and not overly expensive.
The 2nd room although bijoux was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable enabling a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was good covering all major wants.
Excellent communication in advance and very warm welcome, thank you!
Great location, only a few minutes walk to the centre of Darlington.
We had a triple room which was clean and ideal for our needs. The bathroom, whilst not en suite, was also clean with a lovely shower.
A kitchen was opposite, allowing us to make yes and coffees (with fresh milk in the fridge).
Beds were comfortable and the hotel was excellent value.
Would definitely recommend.
everything was as i expected, the room was just the right size for me and my wife. the staff was so friendly and cutiouse. The breakfast was so lovely, it was a pleasure to inhabit your hotel I will definitely let my feeling be known to all my associates. thank you to all your staff for looking after our needs hopefully we will be taking your hospitality once again when we next go to the theatre in Darlington
I really did like everything. Location was good. There are a lot of bus stops near the hotel. Town centre is only about 15 minutes walk . There are a lot of shops and pubs not far from the hotel. The stuff was very kind to me as well. Basically nice comfy and very cheap room. I will definitely stay here again next time.
The property and staff were fantastic. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for sure. The bedrooms were pretty much brand new. I honestly can’t fault my experience there. I’ve now found a hotel to stay every time I’ve in Darlington. Stayed there like 4/5 times now it different rooms. The suite for me was a 10/10!
First staff on arrival was a really and helpful lady who offered to change our room due to initial room being above the ball room whilst events were on. Really clean and tidy room, good room size and hotel was a great location. Parking facilities very handy and ideal, overall good value for money.
Rooms lovely and clean nice fresh clean bedding and towels, bed very comfy, I’m working in Darlington for a couple of weeks and the hotel is only a 10 minute drive away, there’s a pub next door which does food which is ideal for me, there is also local shop,Chinese and Mcd not too far away
Room, location, Nora from the shop Fish and chips who actually helped me to get inside the hotel. The kitchen was helpful, there is everything you need for a quick breakfast. Microwave, frudge and kettle work well. The fridge is very small, but it was fairly clean
Space and facilities compared booking a hotel like Premier Inn. Comfortable beds and a very good over bath shower.
like the facility to park car securely.
