There is nothing in Todwick. You should clearly inform people that the Red Lion is in need of a complete restoration. The hotels response from the reviews, is that the hotel is being refurbished. The hotel is in a very run down condition and has been for a long time, over two years from the reviews. This should be clearly stated on your website !!

We walked into the village with the dog in the evening and the footpaths were wide and safe. There is a garden centre within walking distance from the hotel. We found a pleasant river /streamside walk on day 2. Nice countryside and hotel is not troubled by noise of the roads. Well in room 11 we weren't.
On the second night we ate in the Pub and staff were very accommodating and attentive to food needs. They even gave me some cooked sausages for my dog... Lovely staff even when overstretched and working full on...

Situated nicely for exploring parts of Derbyshire and Yorkshire. Used it as a base for travelling around. Easy to reach from the motorway. Hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, and the food was tasty too.

Very good value for the amount we paid.
Very good value for the amount we paid. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Food tasty, typical chain hotel fare, reasonably priced, not outstanding but good enough. Fulfilled our needs for an overnight on route to somewhere else. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had an efficient shower over the bath. I requested a twin room so they upgraded us to a triple room free of extra charge, which was good.
Breakfast was ok, but the fruit salad was pretty basic. Having said that, not all hotels of this quality offer this very good range of choice for both the continental and the cooked breakfast. Some items for breakfast were cold and seemed to have been standing for some time in the kitchen. The plates were stone cold - a pet hate of mine. Piping hot plates would have improved the breakfast significantly. Again though, it was very good value for money considering what we paid.

The reason for our stay in Todwick was to visit family.
The reason for our stay in Todwick was to visit family. Todwick is a lovely village close to the city of Sheffield in South Yorkshire. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and a visit to this area is highly recommended.
As I travel for work, I have now tried most of the hotels in the Rotherham / Sheffield area and this is by far the best. Room was brand new after renovation. Tasteful furniture, full size kettle, fantastic bathroom with bath! Chocolate treats for bed, fresh milk from bar for tea, lovely tea box with hot chocolate and biscuits. I am fussy and cannot fault this establishment. Food in pub was lovely too.
Everything from the start was excellent from the welcome you receive when checking in to the evening meal the staff made your visit a pleasure, the rooms were furnished so well with little extras. This is a hotel that you would be pleased to return to, the breakfast also lived up to expectations a really enjoyable stay
The staff were friendly and efficient. In particular the receptionist when we arrived was very aimiable and made us feel welcome. The food in the restaurant was first class. The room was extremely comfortable and the bathrom well equipped. The hotel was easy to find and had good parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The rooms are fabulous. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Good lighting, great internet and it was a bonus to be able to ask for a ground floor room which was accommodated. Great food. It was one of the best hotels we have been to.
What a surprise, a fantastic hotel with excellent staff, excellent facilities and outstanding rooms.
Ample free car parking.
The food was outstanding plus the choice of beers and lagers.
