This is a superb establishment that I cannot recommend highly enough. The staff were warm and friendly and made every effort to help us with our very grumpy children, without making us feel like a burden. The food was very good; the breakfast in particular was amazing. Superb shower in a comfortable room with a selection of pillows that avoids the soft vs hard conflict we all endure. The kids loved the garden and though we did not use the pool or sauna they were immaculate and available. Surrounding area was tranquil and pleasant for walks. Wish we could have stayed longer. This is the sort of 5 star service without the 5 star pretentious nonsense I love.

If you are going to stay the night in Eisenhüttenstadt and Pension Balkan has rooms available, book it right away. The rooms were fresh and nice, shower with high water pressure, nice sheets that smelled pleasant. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic in taste, presentation and price. But best of all are the owners and staff. People with such a big heart and great interest in their customers. Everybody was super warm and welcoming and if I’m ever in this part of Germany again I’ll be sure to go out of my way to spend another night here :)
