Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

Everything about this EcoLodge was exceptional. The food, surroundings and room were all wonderful. Matteo our host set up some wonderful birding trips for us. The walk to town was 5 minutes. The hummingbirds in the garden are beautiful. Mindo is a wonderful village with so much to do. Birding, waterfall hike, chocolate factory tour and butterfly garden visit were all great.
