didn't want to leave the hotel - beautifully decorated, with cozy inner courtyard with a fountain, fireplace in a library and spacious garden. Loved the fact that the hotel is a family business that has been passed from generation to generation. it has a sense of home in the best ways. the location is great - in historical centre. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Amazing service and view.. Wonderful staff. Nice breakfast. Morning hike and evening bonfire were great activities. The hotel is quite away up a long hill so you would need a taxi into town. Great indoor pool and sauna. Perfect for a romantic and / or relaxing getaway.

Authentic, beautiful old hacienda, set in delightful sloping grounds, with views to mountains either side. We had probably the best room, no 7. Lovely public rooms. Very helpful staff. Nice vibe. Excellent location. We had 4 nights and could have managed a fifth. The rim walk around the crater lake Cuicocha was one of the best day hikes in our life 10/10 wow. 5 hours solid walking. Horse riding and Condor centre also good - 8/10. Otavalo market OK 7/10 and worth going to on a Saturday but. Food was so good we didn’t bother to eat in Octavalo.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was incredibly attentive, especially when it came to booking taxis and offering helpful local recommendations. Very nice view of Lake San Pablo and ideal starting point to hike Warmi Imbabura. The host and his family are extraordinarily nice and helpful. The daughter prepares a delicious breakfast, and the son brought us hot water bottles in the evening. Patricio even drove us to the nearest bus station to Quito. Muy recomendable!
