Aubigny-sur-Nere is a very attractive and historic town and La Chaumiere is in the middle of it. We loved the building which is old and beautiful and has been wonderfully restored with every comfort. We booked an evening meal for convenience which turned out to be exceptionally good - really fine dining - but for a fraction of the price you pay in the UK for this quality of food and wine. The service was also great - both friendly and efficient.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant was good and the room and bathroom were hospital clean. Very secure bicycle parking.

Mr. and Mrs. Meier were very pleasant and helpful in all matters! We can fully reccomend visiting one of their appartments. The environment is great - near to nature and wildlife which was import to us for hiking and birdwatching.
