The hotel was very nice , large rooms , very trendy design. You could hear only the river nearby and I slept with open windows and fresh air. As I was there I went for diner not at the hotel but at the nearby relais château with same owner and 2 stars Michelin. Was a fantastic experience with a place you can dream of. I was very busy since then so had no time to write the review and tonight I learned with great sadness that the chef and owner had passed away. So sad but he created somehow in the middle of nowhere a dream place. Let’s hope the team and his widow continue to carry the flag to this level!

This small hotel is very quaint and run by a wonderful family. It is filled with keepsakes from around the world which gives it a very old world feel. It is located in a tiny village so there isn't much else around. There is a nice little bar next door. The food was exceptional and we ate dinner with the other guests staying that night. Everything was clean and although they are very vintage, the rooms are very nice. We were pleasantly surprised how nice everything was, it was such a treat to experience a bit of old world charm.

We felt very welcome. And enjoyed being invited to eat a classic french dinner with the rest of the guests. We had a very pleassent evening together with the hosts and the other guests.

I have rated this hotel as exceptional, this is based on the fact its cost effective, clean, quiet, perfectly located and exactly half way down on my annual drive from UK to Javea in Spain.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very nice and professional (shout out to Mathilde for being so welcoming). The breakfast was amazing (great variety and quality of food and drinks). The room and the restaurant were very comfortable, pratical and tastefully decorated with high quality furniture. Everything has been well designed. We highly recommend the restaurant which is gastronomic but very good value for money. A great base to explore the beautiful Aubac area . We will definitely be back. The building is so unusual and beautiful, very atmospheric, and although a little more upgrading is needed in places (eg. walls of the main stone staircase) this is clearly in progress. Our room was wonderful - spacious, well equipped, everything about it was top quality and very stylish. And it had amazing views! The restaurant is delightful and our dinner was first class. There is clearly a really good chef, and the waiting staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable.
