Sublime reception from Christiane and Gerard. Incredibly friendly. Conditions were great. Fully cleaned and full with small luxuries. The bed is incredibly comfortable and breakfast very good.

As golfers we enjoyed being at a club, playing 9 holes late in the day. Phillipe, was fantastic making us feel very welcome. The view from our room was pleasant over the golf course. Salies de Bearn is a charming village as are the other villages in the area.

The staff at the hotel are happy and very helpful. The evening receptionist (perhaps owner?) recommended a local restaurant to us and made the reservation for us and the restaurant was excellent. It was Chez Germaine at Geronce. We had a very enjoyable stay at Le Commerce and our little dog was welcomed too and a water-bowl provided for her.

This is a charmingly old but freshly renovated hotel and a must for all fans of the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The rooms are bright and clean, and many have a nice view on the adjacent park. The front desk staff is exceptionally nice and helpful.
