Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is located in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

The location is good, saves you 2 hours drive to diamond beach if you are traveling from Reykjavik. And the bed is very comfortable.

During the 4 days travel in Iceland this was the best hotel we stayed in 1. The guy in the reception very friendly and ready to help. 2. Chocolates and good maps on the reception 3. Great location 4. The best matters we slept in a week in Iceland. 10/10. Also, I really like clean and quiet room. Breakfast was also top (we had herring and salmon) and good variety of fruits and vegetables.

This guest house is 12 mi from Vík and 0.9 mi off the Route 1 Ring Road. Wi-Fi and parking are free. All rooms have a view of Pétursey Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
