From the time we arrived we were welcomed greatly and was greeted by staff in our native language which took us by surprise. Apparently there are many staff versed in different languages to assist guests from around the world. I was impressed. The room was huge and the amenities were all there, it did not lack anything. I loved that they provided a rubber duck for the kids to play with in the private bath area. The view from our room was great - overlooking the steamy scenery of Beppu. I loved the private bath, we got an indoor and outdoor one, though the outdoor one is very dark at night since there were no lighting probably around the bath probably to protect privacy. The food served for breakfast and dinner were decent. We liked the teppanyaki dinner and the kids meals were delicious.

We were very surprised at the quality of the accommodation, it looked so new, bright and spacious. The onsen was zen like. The web photos do not do it justice

Such a lovely hotel with a luxury feel. The inside and outside baths were amazing and really comfy bed. Also walkable to visit the hells which was great

Everything!! This was my second trip to Beppu after 8 years and I've decided to stay in Kannawa and it was the best choice ever. I'd say that the highlight of this hotel was the staff. They were just incredibly friendly and lovely. Everyone was smiling genuinely and was just super nice and helpful. The location was absolutely perfect too, right next to the main hells and 5min from the bus station (I took a taxi though coz of heavy luggage). Taxi ride to the station was pretty cheap anyway and I'd recommend it to the bus ( only about $7). Room was very spacious and had nice view over the mountains and I got to watch a sunset too!! They also have 3 private onsens which is bonus but the public one are really good and I love it. Thank you so much for the lovely stay! Oh and there was this lady that was looking after the floor and she was super cute and lovely too!

Nice and central to everything. Breakfast was good. Onsen decent. We accidentally left our shirt ad small pouch bag behind .. but they found it and we got it back.

The room is spacious which is very good for 4 people like us, there is Lawson​ opposite to the hotel, the hotel is not too far from the Beppu station. Easy to find. The staffs are very nice and try to help us.

The breakfast tasted so delicious, Mr Taro from the front desk suggested it and very resonable prize. During our stay my niece was poorly, she had a fever and the night staff 2 japanese men rang the hospital for us. He even type the hospital location to my sister’s car because she struggled with reading kanji. They were all very helpful to us,they lend their thermometer even put a translator for my husband inorder to understand him. I have had a problem connecting with my sister to pick us up from the Umi Jigoku and Mr Taro was talking to us in English and all the staffs were all very helpful. Mr Taro even left the desk to ask our my niece was. Please give him an award or praise please. Many thanks to all the cleaners the onsen lady for private family bath.

Meals were huge and delicious. Onsen was incredibly relaxing. Futons were incredibly comfortable.
