The place is amazing, like a little piece of paradise in the middle of the jungle. Everything was so beautiful. The room is big and comfy, if you are looking for a place just to chill and rest thats the place for you. The staff is very nice and carring.

Amazing experience! I stayed at a hostel once 5 years ago and this time I stayed 3 days in a hostel dorm. I am totally astonished by all the improvements the owner has made. It's an example of great achievements and perseverance. To start, is the only place in Sri Lanka where the Wifii worked 100%. It was amazing to have food at their restaurant. The coffee was amazing. The facilities have developed to the next level. It's a beautiful jungle paradise, well fusioned with the natural environment. Even if is next to the main road, it's a relaxing oasis full of greenery. The common spaces are simply great, having areas where u can socialize or you can even stay on your own and chilling or reading a book. And they have a free coworking space. Hostel rooms were perfect, comfortable beds and equipped with plug and reading lamp, towels were given for free + toilets were nice and featured hot water The location is just perfect, right in front of Kabalana Beach. If you want a surf stay and not worry about anything in Ahangama, bear in mind that if you grab your board from your hostel room at Mellow and you run, in 30 seconds you can be paddling out in the water from the hostel. Very very convenient :) Finally, the team at Mellow is the core of the business, no doubt! Extremely friendly and nice locals who will look after you and make sure that you have a great stay. I had a great time with them in every single interaction. Thanks for everything D. and the whole team. I cannot wait to be back and see which other improvements you have made. So far 12/10 :)
