The location was exceptional! Being right on the water you can watch the sun rise over the lake every morning. In the evening, a large firepit was available for anyone to join and only steps from the beach. The grounds were very well maintained and decorated for the fall season. The rooms were super clean as was the indoor pool and all other amenities. Their breakfast was the best with choices of eggs, sausage, different omelets waffles, cold cereal and freshly baked cinnamon buns. Free shuttle to and from the ferry dock to Mackinac Island also.

Located on 700 feet of Lake Huron property, guests can enjoy balcony views of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island from each room.

I like that all rooms have a view of the lake, and that there is such a nice grassy area in front. The rooms are clean, as is the pool area. Although we haven't done this, I really like that you have kayaks to rent. The staff in the office were very friendly.

I loved the history of the hotel. The staff was beyond friendly and very accommodating. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything. We will be staying at Island Hotel on our next visit.
