Located in Chambord, Quebec region, Village Historique de Val-Jalbert is situated 37 km from Zoo Sauvage de Saint Felicien Centre de Conservation de la Biodiversit. Staying in accommodation on site meant that we could see the historic village whilst it was quiet. It was mainly French speaking but everyone was open to keep trying to communicate so we muddled through with no real problems. The breakfast was lovely and served by a lovely lady. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for a night stay. Having a bath as well as a separate shower added a sense of luxury. The history of the village was very interesting and it brought the era to life.

This is a delightful, well kept home from home. The host, Michelle, is a kind, lovely lady who was very knowledgeable about the local area and had lots of travel tips to share. The village is beautiful and there is a garage, supermarket and various places to eat. The property is well maintained and very cool in the high temperatures. We enjoyed also sitting in the garden.

Situated in Saguenay, Hôtel Château Cran Chaud has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Gorgeous historical building next to a gothic church, it was such a beautiful vibe if you're into it. The hotel is fully renovated and fairly new, so the rooms are pristine and tastefully decorated, fully equipped with a smart tv & coffee / tea facilities (also downstairs if you need your tea / coffee fix). Our room was quiet and fairly spacious, with a view on the church's side (so stained glass windows and old stone). Smaller than other rooms in North America, but as a European I am used to it - historical buildings are that way so be prepared for stairs and no elevator. Nice parking space. I really recommend this place if you want to stay somewhere aesthetically pleasing and different.

The manger went out of his way to be accommodating to us. The room is big and clean. Good location near the veloroute des bleuets and the center of town. Also near the zoo.

Beautiful location on the water, with a beachfront. Quiet, comfortable basic room in first floor of a two-story cottage. Restaurant on site was convenient if a bit pricey. Locked shed to store bicycles.
