There was a problem with the window - draft and with street noise prominent the first night. mentioned in passing to one of the hotel's service engineers. Window fixed while I had breakfast. Breakfast very good with very friendly and helpful staff. Room fitted for guests that are motion impaired.

Situated within 400 metres of Elgin Cathedral and 44 km of Huntly Castle in Elgin, Kilmorie House provides accommodation with seating area. Peter was a great host. He would do anything in his power to accommodate your every need. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated with a king-sized bed. Large bathroom with a great shower. All the linens were very high quality from the towels to the table napkins. Great breakfast made to order.

Smart TV, fully equipped kitchen so you aren't restricted to sandwiches while you are traveling. The keypad check in was easy and efficient. Far more comfortable than a hotel room for multi night stays. I'll definitely use again.

Featuring garden views, Fairdene Cottage features accommodation with a patio, around 18 km from Balmoral Castle. Location excellent. A real home from home - very comfortable. Great layout for quite a small property. Everything considered. Particularly like the outdoor space - great to have somewhere to sit as the weather was lovely.

Struan House is a lovely old house in the centre of sea-side Buckie. The hosts are delightful, and offered me lots of details to make my 3-night stay as comfortable as possible. Although it is a ‘pet-friendly’ establishment, it was very well-cleaned and my allergies were not triggered. It was a good base for my explorations of north-east Scotland. Lots of interesting breakfast conversation from the international guests, many of whom were starting the Speyside Way or riding bikes. Thanks Robert and Giffy for a wonderful stay!
