Although this is a business for them, it is clear that hospitality is a passion for them and they don't use the property as a pure money making machine like other places we have stayed at. They put their heart and soul into this property and making you feel welcome and they want to help you because they are kind people with good hearts. Staying here with my partner was lovely. It felt like having a piece of home in Kerala. The bed was so comfortable and the homemade breakfast was varied and delicious. Each breakfast was different and gave you an insight into South Indian food. Everything is fresh and some things are grown in their garden. The location is a short walk to the beach and there are many restaurants and bars nearby. Thank you to Sudheesh and his family for a lovely stay.

Went with my kid .A small hotel with big size rooms. And also the food is very tasty.Staff are very helpful specially the reception guy and the lady.

Location was near to the beach and a few restaurants and cafes. The hotel was a newish building, it was clean, spacious and everything worked. Room cleaning was available every day. It had a pool, which we regularly used. Staff were lovely. Restaurant food was really nice. The room had a safe. Shower was good. It had two comfortable armchairs in the room. You can book transport via the front desk. It had a car park.

Good ambience, good food, very cooperative staff. 1 call and 2 2 boys would be at your door for your help. Even though heavily raining. Liked the way they pampered you.

Petit Elephant is situated on the beachfront in Cherai Beach, less than 1 km from Cherai Beach and 32 km from Cochin Shipyard. Very regal and comfortable room. Wonderful large pool. Staff were friendly, especially the young man working there. The place is in a quiet location in walking distance from Cherai Beach. The issues I faced were in terms of lack of transparency. For instance there was a kettle in the room but no teabags. When I was asked I was told 'foreigners' bring their own and sent to a shop down the road to buy a drink. I was also expected to pay commission on top of my total price which I refused to. A tuk tuk was booked (which I gave money for) and on arrival at my location he said the money had not been passed on. There's lots of potential here but my sense was that the hotel is not run with guests needs in mind.
