There should be a different category for hotels like this: a destination hotel :-) Of course we were road tripping across Iceland, so we never stayed anywhere more than 1 night, but if we had, it would have been here: wow! The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional, you can see that they enjoy working there. The food was great, the breakfast was wonderful, the lobby is fabulous, the bar and lounge were superb. The entire design and setup of the hotel is just perfect. We had a great room with glacier (lake) view. And don't get me started on the two outdoor hot tubs and the outdoor sauna: we enjoyed it until 22:00 hrs (thank you) after a long drive, and we enjoyed the next morning at 7 AM as well. WOW!

Set within 41 km of Seljalandsfoss and 45 km of Thjofafoss in Hella, Loa's Nest features accommodation with seating area. We like the location, the check-in procedure, the cleanliness of the whole building, the size of the room and toilet, kitchen, the dining area, etc. The sound proof is superb. The bed is so comfy. The waffle cooked by the owner was wonderful. The surrounding is beautiful.

Superb room, luxurious for my wife and I as the room was super spacious. It has everything I need! Breakfast was an added bonus as Booking.com said no meal plan and receptionist said all rooms come with a breakfast. Wife was elated :) For the price compared to other accommodations I had in Iceland, this is super value for money. Pity we didn’t had time to try out the hot tub out in the open! 2 nights is definitely not enough when the F-roads are open for the summer as there are plenty of nearby hikes around the area!

Featuring mountain views, Heima Holiday Homes provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 42 km from Ljosifoss. This little piece of Eden is situated in the middle of nowhere, yet it's extremely easily approachable. Beautiful calm environment, with direct view of the Aurora (when it happens of course). It was very clean and calm, especially the slow mornings with the sunrise. The house is on flat area, so it's easy to maneuver, but you're surrounded with mountains, so the view is great. The colors of the sun in this part of the countryside was truly beautiful.
