Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon offers luxurious accommodation in Hnappavellir. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and hotel bar. The room was great and the hotel was beautiful. The sauna and hot tub are especially amazing perks in the winter. The room had a little coffee maker and we asked for a kettle which was provided. The staff was nice and the location was secluded enough to not suffer light pollution but close to meeting spots for tours and the diamond beach.

I recommended this place for accommodation. There is nice and helpful staff. This place is near to the glacier hiking meeting point. Free parking and great quality breakfast. This is a memorable place as this is my first time to see the northern light ever.

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!
