Overlooking Matera’s Sasso Barisano, Fra I Sassi Residence is set in restored 17th-century buildings inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site area. Location of hotel is right in the centre of Sassi. Staff very friendly. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of food, probably one of the best I have had in an Italian Hotel. Aperitivo in the evening came with so much stuzzuchini (nibbles served with your drink) that we had to push out our dinner booking by an hour :-). Highly recommend this hotel!

Peaceful location, beautiful sunset view, clean and spacious room, friendly and competent stafff, excellent restaurant în proximity, large parking place. For me, perfect!

Amazing!!!! less than 10 minutes walk from the very center of Matera (and what a city!!!!! ) in a quite área, the facilities are just amazing. I do not know who were the architect but turning the place in a comfortable, amazingly beautiful place is something. Pietro, our host, was not only a host. Situated in Atella and with National Archaeological Museum reachable within 39 km, Palazzo Badiale history&rooms features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi... The room was spacious, extremely clean and super comfortable and the bed was big and comfy. Our hosts, Emilio and Donatella, were so lovely, helpful and generous!! We felt as if we were at home with friends. The fact that they make the best pizza, pastry, cake and chocolate obviously helps :) Fantastic stay and definitely recommended!!!!
