I picked this hotel in large part because of their breakfast and whilst you did need to queue for half an hour, it was well organised and well worth it. An excellent breakfast. Whilst the room wasn't the largest we have had in this trip it was a good size and best of all it was very very well designed in terms of the furniture to give a tonne of very useable storage in a small floorspace. The bathroom is unusually spacious and well laid out. We fancied a light dinner so we had ramen at the small Stella lounge by the hotel baths. Decent! It was very useful to have the hotel be the last stop off once of the key bus routes into the old town area, though only in one direction because of one way roads. And last of all, I left my walking stick in the room and because we took taxis to the train and then the train, I didn't realise till we got to our next stop. The hotel staff were brilliant in retrieving the stick and posting it on to my next hotel for me, which was so helpful.

The hotel is super new, modern and clean. The bed and linen were very comfortable and the hotel is very well located, walking distance from the main station and from Odori. The public bath is amazing, with 3 different bath tubs and a sauna. There is also a laundry room with 3 super modern washing machines. Overall great value for money!

32 km from Sapporo Station in Jozankei, Okujozankei Onsen Kasho Gyoen offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath. I was specifically looking for a remotely located hotel with ensuite onsen to finish off my work-vacation in Hokkaido and this was perfect. I had a big window that looked out into the beautiful winter scenery that I could also enjoy from my bed and the onsen. They fed me such good food that my palate is forever spoiled (for the better). The staff are super helpful and all very lovely. They helped me book a taxi to go straight to New Chitose Airport and told me beforehand how much the whole trip would cost which was great for me budgeting. However, there was a toll fee the taxi driver had to pay for himself out of pocket (which I don't understand because that cost was incurred during his job) and although I was able to pay the taxi fare with my visa credit card, he wouldn't accept my card as a payment for the toll, only cash (which I didn't have..). Maybe in the future, the hotel can include this in the instructions for other people. All in all, great experience!

Open from December 2016, Aya Niseko boasts an open-air natural hot spring bath and provides direct access to Grand Hirafu Resort’s ski lifts. Modern, exceptionally clean, facilities were excellent. Hotel is in a great location for the ski resort and surrounding restaurants. on-site Onsen is also worth a visit.

A 3-minute walk from Hakodate Station, Hakodate Danshaku Club Hotel & Resorts offers rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Rooms come with a balcony, a living area and a kitchenette. The hotel located in very strategic area, the check in and check out process very smooth, and the room was very cozy. I got the room that face the mountain, the view was super good!! Love to stay in here!
