Yawaragi-no-Sato Yadoya features 6 hot spring baths, a Japanese restaurant and universal design, only a 2-minute walk from the picturesque Yu-no-Tsubo Kaido (Yu-no-Tsubo Road). Didn't take the meals but the ryokan is very close to the main shopping street. Easy to find food. Pleasantly surprised that the ryokan is very well kept, clean and bright. Staff are friendly and speak good english. Ryokan provided advice on how to drive there too.

Set within 21 km of Crasus Dome Oita and less than 1 km of Beppu Station, 匠晴の宿 心庵 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Beppu. It was accessible to other parts of the city. I also really liked the baths.

Room was super clean and modern and felt very luxurious. Free beer in the lobby was awesome. Good location close to everything in Kannawa. On-site onsens were really nice. Staff was great.

Featuring mountain views, hokkein-onsen kougen-terrace is situated in Kokonoe and offers a wellness area with a hot spring bath and a public bath. Big rooms. The breakfast and dinner were both great and affordable. They even had a string quartet playing over dinner which was cool.

The cozy reading room of the hotel was a plus. Very friendly staff. Outstanding meals, way above the average food usually served in ryokans. Highly recommended hotel.
