Located in Nuwara Eliya, 2 km from Gregory Lake, Atulya Villas Nuwara Eliya provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Where do I begin? What a thoughtfully, well planned and executed beautiful villa! Wish we stayed longer. Everything was 10/10. From the exceptionally clean room and premisses we felt comfortable and well looked after. Appreciate the attention to details here making this villa a home. Not only is the villa itself a work of art, check out the interiors with the baby grand piano in the living room, everything has been merticulously thought of. At 1900ft above sea level, it’s chilly yet the bed is toasty warm with the the electric bed warmer. The owners whom manage remotely from Botswana, have certainly selected good caretakers for this property. The staff were indeed attentive to detail and nothing was too much of a bother. We were celebrating our grandson’s 6th birthday and he was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cake and baloons! Breakfast was a choice of either Sri Lankan or Western and it did not dissapoint. The portions were huge and food delicious. Other meals can be ordered in if too tired to eat out. Overall a very warm and welcoming memorable experience! 100% a Yes!

The Argyle Luxury Boutique has a fitness centre, a garden and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Hatton. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 37 km of Gregory Lake. Nestled in what felt like the "heart of heaven," The Argyle Luxury Boutique Hotel provided a truly unique and wonderful escape. From the moment we arrived, a lush, verdant entrance welcomed us, leading to an unforgettable reception. Our gracious hosts, who were already prepared for our arrival, greeted us with warm smiles and an incredible surprise—a complimentary upgrade from our superior room to the hotel's most spacious suite, along with a free upgrade to a half-board booking that included a fully paid dinner. The hotel's ambiance was one of pure elegance and luxury. Every detail, from the stylish furnishings and abundant greenery to the fresh citrus scent that filled the air, was meticulously curated and absolutely breathtaking. The genuine care and joyful guidance from the staff made us feel not just like guests, but like welcomed friends. Our Suite and the Hotel Grounds Our suite was simply fabulous. It was a spacious and beautifully decorated sanctuary, where every detail had been carefully considered. The room's design embraced the surrounding nature, with green views from every window that paired with a cool breeze to truly enrich our souls. The suite included a full bar, a large, well-maintained bathroom, two balconies with seating areas, and a luxurious lounge with a large smart TV. The bed was a dream of comfort, and even the mosquito net was so elegantly designed that it blended seamlessly into the decor. An extra bed provided for our daughter was just as comfortable, and the bathroom was fully stocked with robes, slippers, and all the necessary toiletries. The rain shower, with its strong water pressure and warm water, made every wash a refreshing experience. Thoughtful touches like an iron, an umbrella, and an electric room warmer were also provided, showing the staff's dedication to our comfort. Stepping outside the suite, we found a huge lobby with multiple indoor seating areas and shaded outdoor spaces.

Featuring a spa bath and garden view, La Grande Villa is located in the centre of Nuwara Eliya. This property offers access to a terrace, a pool table, free private parking and free WiFi. Everything here is perfect, it was quite possibly the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and that includes places like the Heritance Kandalama which was dramatically more expensive. The property: Perfectly manicured and beautiful gardens with flowers everywhere. The building is beautiful with detailed wood finishing on all surfaces except the floor which is covered in beautiful plush carpeting which contributes to reduced noise from people walking around. All guests and staff remove their shoes and wear provided slippers around the property to ensure the floors are nice and clean. There’s also a pool table in the lobby. The room: A+ comfortable bed with down duvet, crisp sheets and more pillows than Martha Stewart would have on her bed - with a variety of thickness and firmness so anyone’s preference will be met. Super clean from top to bottom, excellent bathroom and shower with stone finishing and a jacuzzi tub which we used and it worked well. Television with Comedy Central so that made me happy at night. Clean glasses, coffee, tea, and one of the few rooms in Sri Lanka with a working refrigerator that had a small freezer for ice which was readily available from the hotel. Breakfast: We had the western and it was fantastic. I’m sure the Sri Lankan breakfast would be even better. Too much food though. Location: walking distance to the town center but far enough that it was very quiet at night and minimal tuktuk noise in the morning. Staff: attentive, kind, service oriented and professional - we have found this to be standard throughout Sri Lanka but it was even better here.

Set in Hatton, 42 km from Gregory Lake, Tea Hills Lake offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The views were great, the staff was extremely cooperative and made sure to go the extra mile like arranging a poolside BBQ for us. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing and cleaned well. Breakfast, tea time snacks, and dinner was delicious and presented beautifully each time. The food was not very expensive either; it was good value for money.

Madhusha Rest is located within a 10 km radius from 6 scenic waterfalls. This affordable accommodation provides comfortable guestrooms fitted with en suite bathrooms. Great host, always trying to help us figure out how to get around and have a nice time! They offered us lots of delicious Sri Lankan food for lunch (with fruits, veges, and coffee from their backyard!) in the family home. Whenever we needed a taxi/tuktuk, they connected us, and when we went camping, they even sent someone who lived in the area to make sure we arrived to the campgrounds safely! And since it was a holiday in Sri Lanka, there weren't many taxis running, so the host generously drove us to our next destination himself (2.5hrs to Kandy!). He invited us to his family's traditions for New Years and introduced us all. They allowed us to extend our stay without issues, and they gave us a bigger room than we expected for the same price since it was available. The room was very clean with mosquito net, toilet paper, balcony, warm water shower, air conditioning, warm blankets for the cold nights, and peaceful common outdoor seating area. If we're ever in Maskeliya again, we'll be coming here again. Can't recommend it enough!
