From the time my driver dropped me off I was made most welcome by all staff. I was offered a Lion beer cold as Aussie's like to drink. Terrian was very knowledgeable of his area. The writing on the ceiling & walls tells all of how many people have visited & enjoyed there stay. Many thanks for a welcomed stay.

Lots of space in the room and the toilet, very clean. Room had both fan and A/C. Beautiful green garden with lots of flowers, birds and fruit trees. Room had a water bottle, cups, a kettle and a hair dryer.

A truly kind and helpful lady who went out of her way to be helpful. Her home is a lovely oasis and we enjoyed the wee tailor bird that greeted us in the morning tapping on our window. Breakfast was wonderful and especially enjoyed the fruit. She also arranged an airport pickup that worked flawlessly.

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Villa Shade is a hidden gem! The property was beautiful with lovely tropical gardens and comfortable rooms (with a fabulous outdoor bathroom). Shiraj was a lovely host who cares deeply about the property and his guests. They have created a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere and even grow an all organic garden on the property! All of the staff was helpful and hospitable during our stay and accommodated a very early morning checkout time- we wished we had more nights to spend at this hotel.
