Set within 800 metres of Wellaweediya Beach and 2.1 km of St Anthony's Church, Funwhales Rest House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Negombo. Close to the beach. Breakfast was very good. Most comfortable during my Sri Lanka travel. I recommend this to anyone who would like to consider an accommodation near airport. Plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops near the hotel, so you can have a chill time spending on the beach and enjoy foods and shopping souvenirs for friends and family.

The staff and a "share culture" made this spot perfect. It is a simple place with basic rooms and facilities. It is an inexpensive, no-frills place. However, the owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He picked us up from a 1 am flight. The breakfast was good. He gave us fruit right from his garden. He got us cell phone service and advice for our trip. He gave us adapters for plugs and helped with all sorts of advice. Guests leave items to share: Sunscreen, Shampll, lotion, etc... that you can use. He has a simple quaint garden with active bird life. It was a good location and a nice welcome.

Sanjeewa and his wife provided a warm welcome to Sri Lanka . I arranged a lift from the airport with them which is only 10 minutes away . Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning was lovely and always served with a smile . The room was clean ,cool and mosquito free . Sanjeewa was an excellent source of local information and helped me with my ongoing travel itinerary As a sole female traveller I felt safe here The overall experience was warm , friendly , clean , convenient and excellent value for money

Airport A4 Transit Hub - Eco Chalets is located in Katunayake, within 11 km of St Anthony's Church and 33 km of R Premadasa Stadium. Very very cool space to not just spend a night for a layover, but actually stay there and feel the Sri Lankan hospitality! It's very close to the airport, the owner was super nice and chill, and he picked and dropped us from and to the airport, plus wake us up in time so that we managed to catch our plane! There was hot shower, welcome beers, and comfortable bed. What more can you ask for?

We had such an amazing stay at Bee Nest Bed and Breakfast. The host was so lovely and accommodating. Could not recommend more!

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Beautiful garden with home grown fruits, the staff is out of his way to assist, the room is perfect and the swimming pool is an amazing treat! Great breakfast and very quiet, calm vibes. We wish we could stay longer.
