Situated in Sauraha, 1.6 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Hotel Aikawa features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. After a long journey, we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels, and even picked up directly from the bus station—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Milan, the concierge, truly went above and beyond. He was the most attentive and caring concierge we’ve ever met, providing invaluable information before, during, and even after our stay. He took care of everything, from arranging free transport to the bus station and visits to the elephant breeding centers, to organizing our onward travel and bus tickets. His dedication to ensuring our experience was seamless and stress-free was truly remarkable. The hotel’s own safari guide, Raj, was another highlight. His passion for wildlife was evident, and his knowledge made our safari experience unforgettable. The team made sure to carefully walk us through all the tour options, helping us choose the best ones suited to our interests. Special thanks to the wonderful waitstaff, Robyn and Kabita, who went out of their way to suggest delicious local dishes and served the best coffee. Their warm service and attention to detail made every meal a delight. This hotel delivers on every front, from outstanding service to thoughtful recommendations. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about its guests, this is it!

Located in Chitwan, 40 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Chital lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 1-star hotel offers a bar. If you want to have a true experience of the Chitwan National Park with the best local guide who is passionate about the jungle and has a ton of knowledge about the wildlife, then this is the best place for you! Bishnu (the owner of the lodge and guide) is truly amazing! He started answering any questions I had even before I arrived at the area. His wife and his kids are truly adorable and they made me feel like being at home. I went with Bishnu in a half day jeep safari and a full day walking (and boat) safari, as well as some other activities like bird watching. Even if we were not lucky enough to see a tiger, we saw many rhinos, deers and monkeys! Bishnu knows every corner of the forest and he was explaining to us every detail and answering any questions we had. While other guides may show you only the basics without putting much effort, Bishnu is trying his best to find the best spots in the jungle so that the guests could have the greatest experience! One day of my 3 days stay, I was the only guest and Bishnu arranged extra activities especially for me so as not to get bored! Last but not least, the food was fresh and homemade, and it was the best food I had in Nepal! These 3 days full of adventure and great hospitality, was the best part of my trip in Nepal and makes me want to visit Nepal and Bishnu again in the future for sure! Bishnu and your family, thank you for everything!

Offering an outdoor pool and a spa and wellness centre, Barahi Jungle Lodge is located in Meghauli. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this resort. We had the pleasure to spend two nights at the Barahi jungle lodge on the banks of East Rapti River in Nepal. Already at Bharatpur airport we were welcomed by the lodge‘s pick-up service in person of most amiable Rajesh, who should turn out to be our naturalist guide for the whole stay. The Head-manager himself gave us a warm welcome and introduction into the lodge. We were impressed by the careful sustainability efforts in combination with a five star accomodation with all modern facilities close to the jungle. The staff was most caring, polite and attentive in all functions. The highlights of course were the Jeep Safari, Jungle walk and boat safari in the early morning in the park. Across the shallow Rapti river pick-up point is reached with a boat directly from the lodge. Safar jeeps wating for half or full-day trips. Driver and our guide Rajesh did a terrific job in showing vegetation and all wildlife Chitwan had to offer on that day including a stylish jungle tea/coffee with pastry. Deer, boars, bears, rhinos, monkeys, elefants are just the bigger animals, not speaking of peacocks and many other exotic birds. Safety was always key and we felt always secure and in best hands, either on the car or by foot during jungle walk. Both activities give a very good impression of the park‘s environment. Arriving from the trip with dust and sweat Barahi staff was waiting with refreshment towels and fresh water. A boat trip in the early morning on the calm Rapti river gave wonderful sight on birdlife and bigger animals crossing or bathing in the river. Dinner followed after a presentation of regional cultural dance with excellent cuisine listening to the sounds of the jungle by the pool. Coffee, tea, water was complementary all time with high-speed WiFi. Our bungalow met all expectations with enormous comfort. Wow, this was Nepali hospitality at its best.

Surrounded by greenery and situated across the Rapti River, Chitwan Village Resort is just 300 metres from Chitwan National Park’s jungle safari area. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. They helped us enjoy ourselves at the resort and to book socially responsible tours, where elephant safari etc. were directly advised against. The hotel area is super cozy, and its beautiful garden and stylish buildings helps to create a proper safari vibe, though the hotel is merely a hotel/bnb and not a resort. Would definitely recommend visiting this place!

Set in Chitwan, 32 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Soaltee Westend Resort Chitwan offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Beautiful modern hotel in lodge style design, nice big rooms and always clean and tidy. The staff in areas of this hotel are extremely well trained and courteous. The restaurant staff are all fabulous and it would be unfair to mention any individual but can’t name them all, so a 5/5 for every single one of them. My wife used the spa for 2 treatments and she thought it was excellent with very lovely professional staff. We did two safari tours one by elephant and one by jeep., both were excellent and a special mention here for our guide Suki who was extremely knowledgeable and we were lucky to have him for both of excursions booked with the hotel. I recommend staying at the Soaltee West End to anyone who wants top level service and care from arrival to departure.
