This traditional, countryside hotel is in the Öland village of Kastlösa, 200 metres from Stora Alvaret’s limestone plain, a World Heritage site. It provides 2 free outdoor pools and a large garden. This hotel is definitely a gem of Öland. Very cosy, spacious and tidy room, great shared space with well-equipped kitchen. The personnel is super friendly. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant with traditional dishes cooked according to the recipe of the owner's family. A cold bottle of prosecco was delicious too. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant is lovely. Perfect quality for the money.

Strand Hotell Borgholm is a seaside resort on Öland Island, a 10-minute walk from Borgholm Castle. It offers views of the Kalmarsund Strait, free parking and rooms with free WiFi access. Everything, including the breakfast buffet and the restaurant was excellent too, the indoor pool was also a hit, all the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The view from our balcony was amazing!! We will definitely be back!!
