It was very quiet and a great experience in the middle of nature. Lena (the host) was very nice, helpful and she is a very good cook. The cottage had very lovely furniture and decorations.

Additionally you are in a great spot for day trips, like glasriket, elk park, and Kalmar.

IKEA Hotell is 500 metres from Älmhult train and bus station. Decorated with IKEA furniture, it offers Swedish cuisine and en-suite rooms with a TV. WiFi and parking are free. The food at the IKEA restaurant was among the best I had during this trip. Although the location is a bit far from the highway, it's still acceptable for a self-driving journey. Once you arrive at the IKEA Museum, you can also purchase some IKEA-related souvenirs.
