We put our family of 7 in a room that sleeps 8. Shared bathroom was super clean with private stalls and toilets. They also had a dog hotel for around $30 a night for the pooch. Had a fully stocked kitchen that we did not use but looked amazing.

Loved the private hotspring bath in the room - what a treat! Yen Hotspring is in an exquisite location in the middle of Taiwan's East rift valley. The rooms are fresh and stylish. There is a pool and outdoor hotspring bath and lovely surroundings and views of the hills. The breakfast is perfectly balanced with local ingredients and flavours. The host was so kind and super helpful in giving local recommendations for hikes and restaurants. It's a very relaxing place to stay and we will certainly stay here again.

Love that it's an adults only resort and set in the middle of the fields. Each unit is huge and has a really nice tub and steam bath in the room. There were also bikes and afternoon tea. Breakfast was fabulous!

Set just 10 km from Liyu Lake, Jiang's B&B 江院子庭園民宿 provides accommodation in Jian with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. We had an extremely pleasant and welcoming stay. The hosts were such a warm and friendly couple and their dinner is so sumptuous and yummy. We were caught in the earthquake and we had to stay another day. The hosts took such great care of us and helped us with arrangements to leave Hualien - giving us lifts to the train stations, checking train times and possible routes. I highly recommend staying here.
