A hidden gem in Pelling! This farm stay is the ultimate destination when visiting this region. Surrounded by nature and offering a breathtaking view, we could even see the Kangchenjunga from our bed. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. We particularly cherished our dinner and breakfast on the hotel's terrace. However, it's essential to have plenty of patience because communicating with the staff can be challenging, and understanding each other is even more so. The farm stay is located approximately 35 minutes on foot from the nearest town, and the staff wasn't very helpful in arranging transportation, even a taxi (referred to as a tourist vehicle). One important note: Despite what booking.com may indicate about free booking and cancellation, a 10% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

Totally Worth It!!! I recently stayed here for a day, the place has amazing views of Kanchenjunga to offer apart for cozy rooms which are neat and clean. Its a nicely maintained place and also has kitchen cum bar Cafe to hang around with friends. There are few pets like Kanchi ( grandma cat ) and Dora ( dog doesn't bite) you can play around, Have fun. The place is peaceful, calm and gives a village vibes like your in a remote place. One needs to walk or take private vehicle from pelling to visit this place but its worth the hustle. The host was very friendly and helpful, cooks tasty Momos/food from local homegrown veggies.

Staying at this homestay felt just like being with family. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their warm behavior truly made the experience special. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape that added to the charm. The food was absolutely delicious—home-cooked, authentic, and easily some of the best I’ve had during my travels. On top of that, everything was offered at very affordable rates, making it a great value for money. I’m genuinely grateful for the hospitality and care shown by the owner and their family. This homestay isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place where you feel at home. Highly recommended!

Very attentive staff, excellent cook, and great views! The location is just below lower Pelling, and there's a path going 15 min downhill just after the last snack shack and buildings. Location is wrong on maps.me app. Look for 'Wake in Himalaya' hostel which is next foor. There's also the road if you're driving, then a short steep path upwards.

    Our booking was abruptly cancelled by the property, and the personnel who called us regarding booking cancellation was very rude. They were insisting us to stay for one day instead of two days booking and was asking for payment in advance, whether it was mentioned in your booking offer to pay at the property.

    Nettle and Fern is a very pleasant place to be. It is a pretty property, well maintained, clean serving simple home food at a decent price that makes it great value for money. If you are looking for an 'instagrammable' holiday then this is a good choice. The staff behaviour is good. Guests can order for special food from their menu. The chef went the extra mile to arrange for a special request on the last night of our stay.
