    WOW! Staying at Maki's place (2 nights) has been one of our highlights of our 17 days trip to Japan. This accommodation secluded in the forest is FANTASTIC! We couldn't thank more Maki and her mom for showing us the traditional Japanese hospitality. Food and onsen are great!!!

    Great stay. A 3 minute walk from Nagano Station. Very friendly staff. Easy checkin, lots of amenities available. Room good size, very comfortable bed. Nice deep bath with good water pressure. Very good breakfast. Great for overnight stay. Free lockers in foyer when checking out or in. Very close to interesting alleyways with restaurants, cafe etc. Close to supermarkets and department stores. Great value for accommodation and breakfast.

    It was the most amazing traditional experience! I highly recommend that everyone gets out of their comfort zone and stays a night or two here. The onsen was very relaxing, too. The accommodation is right in front of the temple. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Very friendly owner who gave tips on sightseeing in Nagano. I was here a week before the december holidays, and he also explained how christmas and new year are celebrated in Japan, and gave me pointers where to continue my vacation during the holidays. Also, the beds were very confortable with warm blankets and the heat in the dorms was turned on every night, which was very nice considering the tempuratures in Nagano in december.

    Brilliant staff, very happy to help and very accomodating. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at where you can select your own pillow from a huge selection. I was very worried when my luggage broke upon my arrival in Nagano, but the staff were so helpful and attentive. There are also free storage lockers where you can store your bags after check out which was so helpful. I would definitely recommend this accomodation!
