Centrally located on the Broome Peninsula, Broome Time Resort offers self-contained accommodation with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Breakfast each day was wonderful, and gave us the opportunity to mingle with other guests and talk about travels and experiences. The room was beautifully air conditioned and instructions to leave the a/c on while absent was really useful in the tropical weather. We had a family room, which meant that our daughter could have the bedroom and we had the bed in the living area, which was handy for our night time trips to the toilet. The pool was just lovely, and it was relaxing to sit with our feet in the water after a big day out.

Welcome to Broome’s longest standing hospitality establishment. Our iconic hotel was founded back in 1890 as respite for the pearling crews and pioneer workers of the era, a tradition that we are... Pinctada McAlpine House has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Broome. This 4-star hotel offers a concierge service, a tour desk and free WiFi. Wonderful historic home beautifully transformed into a top quality, intimate, luxury retreat with attention to detail and personalised care. The room was spacious, with beautiful wooden flooring, the bathroom was huge with lots of natural light and luxury amenities, and I loved the selection of T2 teas in the room. A true oasis with lush shady gardens, sparkling clean pool, and a lovely breakfast room, with gorgeous artworks and natural wood furniture. Delicious breakfast each morning with something different on offer. Marilynne was an exceptional host and we felt very well looked after. She accommodated our late arrival, found a lactose-free yogurt for me, and was always ready to offer insightful advice about restaurants or places to visit. Located walking distance to the town, and the the jetty to jetty walk, there is so much nearby to explore. An easy bus ride to Cable Beach, without the crowds of that side of Broome. Definitely recommend this exquisite place to anyone wanting the authentic Broome experience!
It's a long way from anywhere, so be prepared for lack of things you may have at home. However, the people are wonderful and patient and prepared for visitors that don't know where anything is. The hire car man gave us useful information about places to eat and was very helpful.
The visitor centre is a mine of information and bookings can be made for many activities. The shops are interesting and there are many cafes. I particularly liked Green Mango cafe. The museum is a must for people interested in the history of Broome. Town Beach has a very informative memorial to the bombing of Broome in WW2. The courthouse market is excellent.
A very interesting place to visit. Lots of history and nature. Every tour was interesting, well run and full of new and great information. The tour guides were all easy to understand and full of knowledge. The food included in every tour we took exceeded our expectations. Wonderful fresh seafood selections everywhere we visited. All tours really take care of the natural environment, no rubbish on the beaches here. A good example of mixing tourism with care and understanding in order not to pollute the environment.
Favourite place Cable Beach - facilities on beach - seats, umbrellas, life savers. Several bars and restaurants nearby. Town bus gives easy access to everywhere. No high rise buildings - traditional Broome style retained.
Broome was good, the taxi driver from the airport ripped us off. The hop on off bus wasn’t working, terrible for visitors, perhaps the council should treat visitors with a bit more respect and I am sure it would pay off. We switched taxi providers to 13 cabs and they were terrific
Broome is a beautiful place with so much to do and amazing food I would recommend at least 10 days to do everything. Cable beach is amazing but quite expensive you can split your say with luxury and then the backpackers in town. Also a starting place for many Kimberly tours. a sunset cruse is a must. Baramundi wings at the Wharf are fabulous. the bus service was great in May, it has changed since now only hourly and stops from 13:30 to 15:45. so you may need to hire a car or scooter.
