A family-run hotel with over 40 years experience, just 10 minutes by car from the city’s historical quarter, very close to the Atapuerca archaeological site and 4 km from the A-1 road. Nice spacious room and bathroom with bathtub to soak in after a blustery walk. Food served at restaurant was delicious; Castilian soup and rabbit stew, wow. Easy checkin/out by friendly helpful staff who spoke good English. Great value over all. Many pilgrims avoid this route to Burgos and use prettier river path. This route has wide walking path and lined by warehouses and light industrial factories. Although not pretty it’s not dangerous and it was interesting to see how some of Spain’s economy is being served.

Hostal Restaurante Iruñako is situated in Burgos, 5.6 km from The Coliseum Burgos, 7.7 km from Burgos Museum, as well as 5.6 km from Burgos - Rosa Manzano Train Station. I was laid low with a bit of a cold, there were few rooms available in Burgos on a Saturday, when I booked Irunako. This place was perfect for sleep and restoration. Yes. It's in the middle of nowhere with little surrounding it, however, it's a 20 minute bus ride from Central Burgos on the no. 8 bus which you can get from GranTeatro, Burgos, and those buses run frequently and it's right next to the bus drop off. Just do what you need to do in Burgos then come back for your sleep and downtime. I had a very clean decent sized room, I booked a double room for 10 euros more than a single, and had ample room. I slept like a baby, there was no noise disturbance at all. The cherry on the cake was the hot bath power shower. The staff couldn't have made me feel more comfortable and welcome. On my morning cafe con leche, staff surprised me by adding in perfect joined up writing, 'Buen Camino', (pic attached) that's how lovely and thoughtful these people are. Everything was bountiful and generous. You've got everything you need here: nice bar, nice people, it was bustling with friendly people popping in to have something from the bar, it wasn't isolated in that sense and it was a good atmosphere. There was fresh food, made to order, available all day and evening and a separate restraunt for evening meals, with an excellent menu. Yes, it could do with some renovation in the rooms, but you get what you pay for, and in my opinion, I loved it so much here, I booked a second night! I highly recommend this hotel.

This pleasant suburban hotel on the riverside Camino path in Castañeres had a skeleton crew when I recently stayed overnight on a Sunday. Stelida and Aisha were the only staff I ever saw, yet they handled everything so graciously, even offering to personally make me dinner that evening despite the hotel restaurant being closed for Sunday dinners. I cannot praise both of them enough. In fact, the next morning, Stelida even came in early to make me breakfast, when I was the only guest there eating. It was very kind of her.

Good value, quiet, helpful and friendly staff, selection of cafes, bars and other places to eat in the neighbourhood and close to railway station. No problem finding us somewhere to store our bicycles securely.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool, Camping Fuentes Blancas offers air-conditioned bungalows with Wi-Fi available. Nice shady area, comfortable cabin, close to bar/restaurant. the staff were helpful. i had an injured knee and the reception staff would call a taxi for me. the restaurant staff provided me with ice for my knee, though sometimes in very small quantities.

This comfortable guest house offers heated rooms with a private bathroom, a TV and free Wi-Fi. Located 4 km from the beautiful Burgos Cathedral, the historic centre can be reached by bus in 10... The staff were lovely and very helpful, it's very close to good amenities, the hostel has no food facilities, but the bar next door is excellent. The room was clean and comfortable with good heating and lighting.
