Set in Al Başrah, 100 metres from University of Basrah, Zenat AL- Hayat Basra Hotel offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The room, the bathroom, the bedsheets..everything was very clean. The room didn’t smell of smoke (which is great as many Hotel’s rooms smell of cigarette) and it was comfortable. As I didn’t feel good, staying in such a hotel helped me a lot to recover. The food served for breakfast was good with quite a wide choice. I had dinner at the restaurant on the rooftop and it was also delicious. The plates are huge so be careful with ordering food:) The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they don’t speak English very well and I don’t speak Arabic at all: it is can be difficult to connect and have long conversations together. This doesn’t want to be a bad review, because for the important things we could communicate without any problem. As I was sick, I (unfortunately) didn’t use the spa and the gym and I cannot leave any reviews about them.
