Christian met me at the dark alley and walked me to the lodging in the dark. This was so much appreciated! And to top it off, he met me at 7:30 am and drove me back to the airport! What wonderful and thoughtful service! The room was fine.

We chose the Airport Manini Lodge because we arrived in Tahiti @2 AM, and the lodge was a walkable distance from the airport. We had received clear, explicit directions on walking from the airport to the lodge. We arrived in 10 minutes and were able to open the front door and the door to our room with the codes perfectly. The room was small, simple, very clean, very comfortable bed, with air conditioning. The shower was strong, nice soap and shampoo. We slept undisturbed, the area and hotel quite quiet. We left in the morning to return to the airport for another flight and never met any of the staff at the Lodge itself. Communication with the property through Booking worked. Definitely recommend for the more experienced travelers.

    A short taxi ride from downturns and the airport but our hosts made all our bookings and shops and a market were a 10 minute walk down the hill. It can be a little hot walking in Tahiti. Traffic chaotic if you come from a quiet location.

    The room had a nice view & the tv had netflix but it was noisy with the bar playing music all night. If you have any food intolerances don't go here, they don't cater for it at all & aren't prepared to make anything that isn't on the menu. The jet ski's are constantly whizzing past just outside the lagoon so swimming in the sea is dangerous & they have resident Cockerell's in the property that call constantly from dawn to dusk. The nearest supermarket is 1.5 miles away & you have to walk at the side of a very busy duel carriageway & breathe in the fumes. The reception & bar staff are lovely but the catering staff are unhelpful & unpleasant apart from the chef.

    Very hard to locate the actual apartment as there are no signs and the name appears to be wrong. Lucky for us to find a lovely generous occupant who helped us into our studio apartment. Fair walk to the shops due to the property being so high up the hill but the views from our balcony was fabulous. The swimming pool was a very big plus.

    We couldn't sleep due to 95 degree temperature in unit. We were too exhausted to do anything. Not easy to get around as taxis are booked up in advance. Unit is in gated community so taxis can't get in.

    When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete...

    When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete for proximity to the ferry terminal (we were headed to Moorea next day). Flying back from another island in FP a few weeks later, we stayed in Faaa since we would be flying back to the States the next day. Now we know, we'd stay in Faaa on both ends and taxi to the ferry terminal if we were planning to go to Moorea next.

    There is great snorkeling in this area! Go to Plage Vaiava.

    There is great snorkeling in this area! Go to Plage Vaiava. It was the nicest beach on Tahiti with plenty of space. There is a snorkeling circuit to the left of the beach, DO IT! It was amazing! The other snorkeling there is also good but this area is amazing and no one was going to it! There are buoys and numbers so you know where to swim with information in French and English for you to learn about the area as well.
