Our stop here was the highlight of the entire trip! While the house is small, it is well-equipped and has nearly everything you could wish for. The bed is wonderful; I can't remember the last time I slept as well as I did here!

Very helpful owner, ready to help out and make sure we’re comfortable throughout our whole stay. The cottage is cozy, clean and very comfortable despite its size. The fireplace adds so much to the atmosphere. The location is also great, quiet and surrounded by nature, but close to shops and to the city centre.

The lobby of the hotel has a lovely design. And it makes you feel very cozy. A very big thank you to the lady from the staff who was happy to help me with my parking issues 10 stars. Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. One of the best places I've ever stayed. It's not the right place for those who want something luxury but it's the place for people appreciating good taste and home atmosphere. It's former jail, yes, but it's one of the coziest places I've seen. I enjoyed everything: cozy atmosphere, comfortable bed, inner decor, breakfast, easy check in at night. Special thank you for fresh flowers and candles! They really gave the feeling of home. It was so nice to talk to the owner at the end of my stay and to learn the story of family business. U&me hotel is located in the center of Umeå, just 50 meters from the Umeälv. The contemporary furnished rooms all have a fantastic view of the city or the river. The room was big, modern, clean, well equipped and the view was great.
