dodoma is only for business, no good places to visit other than to do business !! careful with food bought as it is generally bad, and like me you will get dodoma tummy !Even checking on internet gives misleading information. Previously i was crooked by a place that took my money online and then sold room to a higher client later claiming they never received a notification from booking.com, who incidentally also conveniently ignored my mails. Treat dodoma like a wild west town at present !

Nothing much to see or do.
Nothing much to see or do. You can 100% skip this city if you are a tourist. Tanzania has 100s of beautiful locations to visit. If you are on ministry meetings, of course you do not gave a choice. Then go and see the pink Gaddafi mosque and the old churches.

As the capital city of Tanzania it is disappointing as there is not much to see. The weather is very hot and dry. If you want to eat then go to the Blooms Restuarant ... excellent food but allow at least 2 hours as the food does take very long to arrive but it is worth the wait. Next to Blooms are other restuarants but most are Sports Bars and are quite loud.

This is the best hotel in Dodoma and is the hotel the city has been crying out for, for many years. Staff and facilities are great and the hotel has a rooftop bar and pool with panoramic views, and there are two more additional places to eat in the hotel, a coffeshop area at Reception and a restaurant on the first (Mezzanine) floor.
