Located in Hilo, a 7-minute walk from Onekahakaha Beach and 3.3 miles from The Pacific Tsunami Museum, Arnott's Lodge & Hiking Adventures has accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a terrace... We were on a budget which is difficult in Hawaii but this property helped us sleep five comfortably. Very friendly staff at check in. Accommodations were modest but so is the price so that’s ok.

Spacious, clean cottage. Beds were comfortable and our kids liked having the curtain as a separator for their "room". We had everything we needed, and the staff was friendly and inviting, so we could have asked if anything was missing. There were small waterbottles and cookies in the cottage as a welcome which was a nice touch! The layout of the cottages gave us a really private feel, even when folks were in the neighboring cottage. We LOVED the secret beach. Mostly locals in a number of differently sized tidepools. Reef shoes strongly recommended!

Reeds Bay Hotel is an older motel but it is extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's in a fabulous location, right on the ocean and near numerous parks, restaurants and great walks. The beds were comfortable, nice kitchen facilities. We were planning only to overnight one time but extended our stay because my husband enjoyed morning coffee by the sea so much. It's a great deal for the price.

Direct Ocean front at Carlsmith Beach Park. Wonderful screened in Lanai with ocean view. Fully equipped kitchen and nice linens and towels. Excellent communication with property manager who was so kind to us! Perfect Hilo location! Love the Hilo local vibe and the great people there!!
