Steps from the Seattle Center arts and entertainment district and the famous Space Needle, this hotel in downtown Seattle, Washington has guest rooms with coffee makers and 42-inch flat-screen TVs. It was easy to get too, rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, quiet and the rooms were dark at night
Was a nice trip but a few positive and negatives worth mentioning. Positives - I had heard there was a major homeless problem here, but we did not encounter much at all near the tourist areas were we stayed. Pretty place on the water with many options to do like taking a ferry to Bainbridge, Pike Market and the 3 attraction spaced close together by Space Needle. Negative - The food was soooo overpriced where $25 burgers are the norm. Service fees really irked me where you receive your bill and there is a mandatory 5% service fee that states this does not go to the server but is used for rising costs (then add it to the prices instead of doing it this way).
Great stopover on the way to Canada. Please note ferries from Seattle do not leave every day as advertised. I think 2 full days minimum. The chihuly gardens next to the needle are truly beautiful. Mopop surprisingly fun and a good coffee in iits cafe.
It was vibrant & young city & good food & lots of place to see & easy walking with good views. There are homelessness problems though… you see them throughout the city which makes you feel unsafe especially at night time. If you stays & tour day time, you would enjoy the city better.
Great walking city. Lots of interesting things to see. We kept out car in the hotel garage to avoid the traffic which is pretty bad in the heart of the city. The water taxis and ferries are unique and fun.
Seattle for us was a welcome escape from Florida heat. Fortunately the Seattle weather was clear, cool and beautiful. Pike Street Market would take three days to explore every nook and cranny. We took a walking foodie tour of the market and would recommend that for visitors., The aquarium and the waterfront were also fun to visit. There is cosmopolitan variety in foods at local restaurants.
Several homeless/druggies in the area. But they didn seem to be bothering anybody. But I did get too see a "Free Palestine" parade. (Which there aren't too many of in Tennessee where I live.....)
