Hotels near Lake Tahoe Airport - TVL, South Lake Tahoe

The scenery is fantastic the weather was perfect very enjoyable. Not really happy with the accommodation but that's not why we were there it was all about the lake the forest and spending time outdoors

South Lake Tahoe is a happening place with a LOT of people roaming a small area. If you like gambling, clubbing, walking the strip, going to beaches w/ lots of people, etc...you will love this place. If you're looking for somewhere a bit more remote and peaceful, get further around the lake away from South Lake.

very pretty, weather was great, beaches was perfect for what i wanted, and even was able to do a little swimming in the lake. i went to pope beach and was $12 for entry, was well worth it. tried to get to a couple other beaches and it was super hard to find parking. pope beach was great and was able to get to the beach right from my parking spot. went to a couple outlets and people was really nice. traffic was not bad, even though there was allot of road work going on. bring your own beach needs because it is expensive at the stores to buy. love the big 5.

I like staying in South Tahoe for a lot of the hiking and places to visit and eat...however, I would probably never go during this holiday weekend ever again; it was too busy too crowded and too noisy but usually it's a really fun place to go to . Lots of historical places to visit.

Bike paths are great. Sand Harbor was great too, but crowded. The bike path from Incline to Sand Harbor is a must. I think it has reached the point in South Lake where there are more people zipping around on escooters than bicycles.

Loved the September weather. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Just short walk to the golf course and the beach. We stayed at Basecamp and loved it. Great food and entertainment! Just walked out if our room to enjoy live music. It was perfect. Parking can be a little tricky but we were in walking distance of everything. We were there for a wedding. Rehearsal dinner was at Tipsy Putt. Fun place with miniature golf and drinks.
