We booked Al Borgo for one night on our hike on the Via Francigena. On the day of our arrival Filippo contacted us that due to plumbing problems the apartment won't be useable unfortunately. *however* he managed to organize us a wonderful room at another B&B right in the center of the old town of Sarzana. Filippo had already made sure that it was paid for and that everything was organized and the host awaited us at our arrival. This is exactly the kind of service you wish for when travelling and unfortunate things like this happen. Grazie mille, Filippo! ❤️

The steep walk to the accommodation at the top of Riomaggiore was worth it with nice views, individual terraces, 2 spa pools (great after a long days walking), and a top terrace with sunloungers. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit and pastries, cold cuts, and lovely cappuccino. All the staff were great.
