    A palafito is a structure on stilts above the water and it was amazing. The apartment is very well appointed with a little kitchen, fridge, microwave and blander. There was a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. A lovely deck over the estero or bay. Fishing boats, shore birds and the smell of the sea... it was amazing.

    The apartment is spacious, centrally heated (HUGE advantage in the cool weather we had), well and tastefully equipped. I especially appreciated the damask sheets in the bed. It is a 10-minute walk to the town center. We had views towards the road (no sea view), but there was no noise from the street.

    Stilt house apartment (studio), right on the water in the Gamboa are of Castro, Chiloé. Cozy, but with everything you need, as a couple or single traveller. watching the tide ebb and flow, the birds from the terrace. Great fridge, proper kitchen. Amazing location!!!
