Once the room was ready, we were taken there by one of the lovely ladies at the reception and were suprised when we were told that we recieved an upgrade from a studio apartment to a big apartment with living room, a bigger kitchen and a huge balcony! When we left, we got recommendations from the hosts as well which was really lovely. The host and management team are very nice and approachable people. There is a bus stop nearby (bus ride from the airport took about 40 minutes to get there) and also several car rentals nearby so you can get around the island easily (about 15 min drive to the city center of Heraklion).
