Beautifully appointed apartment ( called Ortensia, there are two others ) in the centre of the small town of Apricena, on the Gargano Peninsula in northern Puglia. A flight of stairs from street level to the flat on the first floor. The owner, Rosa, was very kind and helpful, but didn’t speak English, so we used a lot of Google-Translate! Large comfortable bedroom with amazing high painted ceiling - superb! Lots of wardrobe space, but bring some hangers. Air-con worked. Tv raised and lowered into a cabinet. Small kitchen, sink, electric hob, fridge with soft drinks, water & milk, coffee machine with pods, breakfast items, croissants, jam, etc, microwave, but no kettle, boiled water for tea in a pan! Bathroom gorgeous and big, two basins, loo, bidet, bath with shower attachment, lots of mirrors and storage space. Handy pizza shop downstairs, chemist next door. We enjoyed our stay, thank you Rosa!

It was a basic house and we were quite disappointed by the basic conditions and even more disappointed when we were accused of doing things like having people sleep over when that did not happen. Will never stay there again and would recommend people ask exactly about the house rules as no visitors even for an hour are allowed.
