    Sylvia was an exceptionally helpful host, providing lots of useful information. The apartment was clean and has an amazing balcony looking over the lake. It is well-equipped with an induction hob, washing machine, and dish washer. There are plenty of options - walk (the walk up is hard but doable), bus, night bus - to get to/from Varenna and from there all around the lake by train or ferry.

    Our time at this place was very good. The Host was absolutely THE BEST- very kind and helpful. Contact with him was also perfect. The flat has everything you need - even antimosquito spray, badminton equipment or full kitchen stuff. Don’t worry about localisation, it looks far and high but there is a free night bus and it stopes 50m from the apartment

    The wonderful views and the thoughtful design and beautiful presentation of the apartment made this a very special stay. We used the private parking space for our rental car, going on trips to nearby sights or heading down to Varenna (get there early to find space in the car park) from where you can take boats to other towns on the lake shore. We used the jacuzzi a lot too. What a perfect set up!

    A beautiful apartment with excellent facilities, and a supermarket nearby for self catering. Beautiful view of the lake, very comfortable, peaceful and quiet, and with lovely walking paths to Varenna, the castle and all the towns. it felt like a home away from home! The host, Georgio was very kind and helpful, he picked me up from the station to drive me to the apartment and drove me back down to the station when I left. I would highly recommend Casa Irene. I enjoyed my stay there very much.
